The AASET has many great committees that help keep the association relevant and involved. Find what works for you and get involved today! AASET members have a voice in the direction of the association through committee participation. Getting involved in our association is the key to membership success.

COMMITTEES

The Nominating Committee shall be responsible for identifying and recommending individuals qualified to become members of the Board, and other positions.

The Grievance Committee shall handle complaints by residents against owners/managers and render recommendations after a review of the grievance.

The Program Committee shall handle the content and format of the general meetings. This committee also works with the AASET staff in coordination of special events.

The Bylaws Committee shall have the responsibility for ensuring that the bylaws of the association are kept current and shall provide an interpretation of the bylaws, as needed.

The Membership Committee shall have the responsibility for the recruitment and retention of members for the association.

The Legislative Committee shall have the responsibility of updating the board on local, state, and national legislative matters of concern to the industry and recommending participation, as deemed appropriate.

The PAC Committee shall have the responsibility of fundraising for the legislative efforts of the association.

The “pep squad” of AASET, the Communications Committee encourages participation and attendance at general meetings throughout the year.

The Professional Development Committee shall have the responsibility of focusing on the general and specific areas of career identification, training, education, and certification.

The Newsletter Committee works with the AASET staff to oversee the monthly newsletter and the monthly program topics. The committee determine the article content of each newsletter, solicit article submission from members, and encourage member advertising.

The Product Service Committee is responsible for the product services directory and shall share with the Program Committee the responsibility for the annual Trade Show and/or other similar events.

The Community Service Committee shall be responsible for engaging members in community service projects that meet the needs and concerns of the larger community and the industry.
